SCHEDULE

Friday, Nov 13

7-9:30 PM: Crip Camp Virtual Watch Party
We'll be showing this film via Zoom; you can also watch it on Netflix if you have an account. We'd love for you to join us at the watch party, but also recommend that if you can't join it then you still watch this movie prior to the event.

Saturday, Nov 14
10AM - 10:30 Casual Coffee Check In Time
Log on and say hello! No pressure to have your hair combed or your bed made, just come as you are.

11-12 Emily's Ordination
Emily Collette Linton is a long time member of the Special Session community. Her ordination to the priesthood will happen from 11-12; and all are welcome to attend. We'll share a zoom link when we have it.

1PM-3PM Disability Justice 101 with Heather McCain
Heather is going lead us in learning together.

3:30-4:30PM Conversation: How can Special Session become a more justice-oriented community?
with graphic recorder
We'll start with this question, and a graphic recorder will draw along. We'll be able to see her screen as she sketches and maps out the ideas that come out.

6PM-7PM: Q & A with Judy Heumann
Our friends Zach Woolley and Bishop Kee Sloan will facilitate a conversation with this lifelong activist for disability rights. Judy is featured in Crip Camp and she has written two books: Being Heumann: An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist and Rolling Warrior: My Story of Fighting to Belong. We recommend that you at least watch the film and read her wikipedia page before tuning in.

7:30PM PJ Debrief + Compline
Put on your PJs, make some tea, and let’s chat.
A chance to exhale together and talk about our day.
